VICTORIA GOTTI, who is the 38-year-old daughter of imprisoned mafia boss John Gotti, underwent emergency open-heart surgery Thursday night after being stricken with chest pain at her home in Old Westbury, Long Island, The Daily News reports. Surgeons told Gotti that her heart had been damaged by her pacemaker, which went out of order last November as the result of interferance from an electronic exercise machine Gotti wore to tighten her abdominal muscles. Gotti's spokesman said that Gotti is in considerable pain and that the prognosis is good. Victoria Gotti needs the pacemaker because she suffers from a heart condition known as mitral velve prolapse. Victoria Gotti, a law school graduate and the author of five novels, is the New York Post columnist and the correspondent on the syndicated entertainment TV show "Extra."
